NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join our IMPACT team’s effort as a new Senior Coordinator, Sustainability to decarbonize our sport based in our Charlotte, North Carolina office, with assigned travel to racetracks and events. This role’s primary responsibilities will be around data collection and analysis and event support. We seek someone who has experience collecting and measuring data to calculate Greenhouse gas emissions and implementing results into disclosure reports and other sustainability frameworks, like ISO certifications. While analytic skills and attention to detail are required, it is also essential that this person is a strong communicator so they can effectively work across NASCAR departments and industry stakeholders. Duties include but are not limited to: Manage the company’s emissions data collection process, working with internal and external stakeholders to capture scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emission data. Support the implementation of new internal sustainability frameworks and reporting, including our upcoming annual

report.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Build and maintain excellent working relationships and communication with internal NASCAR departments/tracks, industry personnel, key partners, vendors, consultants, and community members. Manage communication and alignment with internal and external stakeholders around company carbon reduction goals and targets.
Event Execution:
Travel, including some weekends, to support event greening tactics at races, including, but not limited to, expansion of waste diversion plans and fan engagement campaigns. Provide support for other

programs, initiatives, and events, as needed.
Project Management:
Manage relationships and engagement with other business units to encourage success in sustainability programming and goals, including, but not limited to, event planning and execution, partnership activations, annual reporting, and education.
Travel:
< 25% Required skills / experience: Bachelor's degree in sustainability, environmental science, data analytics, sport management, business, and/or related field or a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret data sets to find patterns and identify areas of opportunity. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with disclosure reporting is a plus. Knowledgeable about the GHG Protocol and experience measuring a corporate carbon footprint. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability and comfort to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders. Excellent organizational and time management skills, while maintaining keen attention to detail Able to maintain a level of confidentiality Able to work in a high-paced environment and juggle multiple projects simultaneously Flexibility to travel and work onsite at project locations as needed.
