Summary:
A Process Technician is responsible for ensuring successful processing startups and maintaining quality standards for customer parts. This role involves inspecting mold setups, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting part processing, addressing rejections, and providing training to less experienced team members. Effective communication, both verbal and electronic, and utilizing IQMS for production details and documentation are essential aspects of the job.

Job Responsibilities:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary at any time. Responsible for machine start-ups and shutdowns Initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to product, process and quality systems Inspect mold and auxiliary equipment setup, verify settings and documentation, and install end-of-arm tooling. Responsible for producing high quality parts by maintaining and improving injection molding processes. Ability to perform all duties of set-up technician Perform preventative maintenance, address reject conditions, and troubleshoot malfunctions. Communicate professionally with team members, visitors, and vendors; use electronic communication for real-time updates. Provide training and demonstrations for less experienced team members and collaborate to optimize production processes. Utilize IQMS to access production details, plan and communicate to reduce changeover times, and document mold repairs.
Requirements:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalency, required Ability to work 2nd shift, required Two (2) to five (5) years of experience as an Injection Molding Setup Technician required Minimum one (1) year of experience as an Injection Molding Process Technician required Ability to stand/walk for entire shift Ability to lift up to 50lbs Three (3) years of experience as an IM Process Tech or Sample Tech preferred Three (3) years of experience with RJG Ability to communicate verbally and in written form effectively with team members, outside vendors and customers. Mechanical aptitude, strong understanding of mechanical systems and operations Troubleshooting abilities, identifying and resolving issues with equipment and processes Attention to detail
