The Position
This position has responsibility for supporting process utility systems and related equipment. This position will follow the Maintenance Management schedule to ensure all maintenance task are completed on time and in compliance with standard operating procedures.
Relationships
Reports to: Supervisor of Manufacturing
Number of subordinates with direct/indirect referral: n/a
Essential Functions
Trouble shooting, repair and maintenance of process utility related systems, including: Purified Water, Water For Injection, Clean Steam, and Building Waste Systems
Support plant utility as required
Available for “On-Call” as required
Complete all paperwork in a GMP compliant manner
Complete assigned PM work orders and Facilities Work Request
Perform all other duties or task required by NNUSBPI, Inc.
Perform daily checks on all process utility systems
Maintenance Management System data in-put and operation to ensure all scheduled maintenance task are completed on time and in compliance with SOP’s
Performs all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations and industry codes
Incorporates the Novo Nordisk Way and 10 Essentials in all activities and interactions with others
Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
Associates degree in relevant field or equivalent military training with minimum one (1) year of work experience or high school diploma or equivalent with Minimum of two (2) years of experience in facility equipment / system maintenance
Work Experience:
Previous experience in clean room and GMP applications preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Possess basic reading, math, and comprehension skills
Ability to work with a group and independently
Knowledge of proper use of hand tools
Basic mechanical aptitude
Physical Requirements
0-10% overnight travel required. The ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, and walk. The ability to push, pull, lift, finger, feel, and grasp. The ability to speak, listen, and understand verbal and written communication. Repetition including substantial movement of wrists, hands, and or fingers. Lifting up to 33lbs/15kg of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Visual acuity to perform close activities such as: reading, writing, and analyzing; and to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.
The working environment includes a variety of physical conditions including: noise, vibration, inside and outside conditions including temperature changes, extreme cold, and extreme heat; proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
The working environment frequently includes close quarters and narrow aisles or passageways.
