Processing Technician 2.3 2.3 out of 5 stars Crafton, PA 15205 Job Summary The Processing Technician I is a hands-on, entry-level role responsible for supporting day-to-day manufacturing processes, equipment cleaning and maintenance, and inventory tracking. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or an adaptable, solutions-oriented individual who enjoys working across multiple disciplines in a GMP manufacturing environment. Success in this role requires attention to detail, personal accountability, and the ability to work independently while supporting team goals. Duties Assist with start-up and shutdown of processing equipment to ensure smooth operations. Support flash chromatography and solvent recovery processes including mixing, filtering, and changeovers. Clean and maintain processing equipment (rotovaps, jacketed reactors, filtration systems, etc.) after each use. Monitor process parameters and document data in batch production records (BPRs) and equipment usage logs. Perform inventory checks and communicate material shortages. Clean workstations, floors, and equipment regularly to maintain safe, organized conditions. Opportunity for advancement Experience , preferred but not required. Chemistry or engineering background preferred. Experience in a lab or production setting. Familiarity with solvent systems, filtration techniques, or distillation processes. Familiarity with basic chromatography principles. Willingness to follow safety protocols in a chemical manufacturing environment. Strong self-starter mentality and accountability without constant supervision. Ability to lift 35-50lbs.
