Essential Functions:

Compound, mix and blend chemical batches. Weigh quantities of materials for use in the manufacturing processes. Place loose or packaged material on scales and add/remove portions of material to obtain specified weight. Start machine and observe operation. Must be able to read and follow work orders or formulas, determine the types of quantities of materials to weigh and charge into vat, hopper or mixing pot per batch ticket instructions. Record weight of materials used for production records and maintain perpetual inventory of materials used and on hand by recording and marking drums. Monitor and log time and temperature as specified on batch ticket. Performs basic troubleshooting on pumps, valves and agitation. Communicate any issues to supervision. Transfer weighed materials to production or storage areas. Inspect materials, products, and containers at each step of manufacturing process. Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment. Exhibits sense of ownership, accountability and attention to detail. Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Must be available to work 8-hour shifts in a 24/5 environment. Must be willing and able to learn to operate a forklift safely. Learn to operate scan guns to report and control inventories. Must successfully complete all required safety training and follow all safety guidelines and processes to ensure safety, quality and service. Possess minimum math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)

Physical Requirements:

Must wear required safety PPE. Unrestricted ability to use hands and arms. Unrestricted ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, reach, twist and balance. Ability to continuously lift, push, pull and move up to 55+ pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, dust, and a wide range of temperatures. Noise level is usually loud.
