B shift on a 2-2-3 schedule. (Night shift) 6:45 PM – 6:35

What You Will Do:

Under general supervision, work as part of the shift technician team to set-up, operate, and perform maintenance on computerized and manual injection molding machines and supporting auxiliary equipment. Supporting equipment includes programmable robots, hot stamp, shrink-wrap oven, blending systems, vibratory systems, and palletizing system. Responsible for product quality to include SPC.

How You Will Do It:

Working with Injection Molding Machines (IMM) Read and record process settings using digital and manual gauges and make appropriate changes to part specifications Enter process settings such as speeds, pressures, heats, time settings, etc. on computerized and manual molding machines to part specifications Troubleshoot, identify mechanical and electrical problems and take corrective action to return to production Perform manual mold changes, insert changes, cam changes and color changes per Bill of Material (BOM) Perform weekly preventative maintenance on work cell components Change robot tooling as needed, repair/replace tooling components. Keep work areas clean and orderly following 5S procedures Strictly adhere to all plant safety rules Take active part in group meetings to maintain safety, quality, and increase productivity and morale Performs other tasks as assigned

What We Look For:

High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certification preferred 1-3 years of experience operating or maintaining injection molding equipment. Prior experience in a manufacturing or plastics processing environment preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. required and ability to stand for long periods of time What We Do Here Our fully integrated plant in West Union, South Carolina produces all the parts that go into batteries used in cars, boats, and heavy-duty trucks. We began operations in 1985 and now employ more than 300 people and operate six days per week. We are actively involved in our local community and give back through The Salvation Army, March of Dimes, back-to-school drives and the Oconee County Animal Shelter. Under general supervision, you will perform safe operation of continuous strip caster, rolling mill, and grid stamping operations for the production of lead grid for automotive batteries.
