Introduction:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist with specific experience in operating, setting up, and programming Okuma 4-5 axis milling machines. This role is crucial in manufacturing complex turbine components used in aerospace applications, requiring precision and a strong commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Okuma 4-5 axis CNC milling machines to produce aerospace components to exact specifications. Set up machines for production runs, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy. Program CNC machines using [Mastercam, CAD/CAM] to interpret and create manufacturing blueprints and drawings. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of Okuma milling machines to minimize downtime and maintain high-quality standards. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine machining processes and increase efficiency. Adhere to strict safety and quality protocols, including compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations. Monitor output and adjust the machining process as needed to produce high-precision aerospace components. Document production data and maintain accurate records of machine operations.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience as a CNC machinist in the aerospace industry. Must have extensive experience with Okuma 4-5 axis milling machines, including setup and programming Fanuc controls. Proficient in reading and interpreting aerospace manufacturing schematics and blueprints. Strong understanding of metallurgy and properties of metals used in aerospace manufacturing. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in CNC machining or a related field is preferred.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with CAD/CAM software. Familiarity with aerospace production cycles and lean manufacturing principles. Proven track record of improving machine efficiency and productivity.
