Deep River, CT 06417 CNC Operator Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Router operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in operating CNC machinery. This role is crucial for ensuring precision and quality in our production processes. The CNC Operator will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC router machines to produce parts as per blueprints and technical drawings. Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance. Utilize measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to verify the accuracy of finished products. Proficient in VCARVE Software with ability to create designs, tool paths and updates as necessary to determine machining operations. Assist in part fabrication process, assembly and pick, pack and ship if necessary. Handle materials safely in the warehouse environment, ensuring proper packaging and storage. Ability with manufacturing tools for plastic parts, router, drill, drill press, etc… Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues with machinery or production processes. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist in materials handling, including loading and unloading raw materials as needed. Qualifications 2-4 years Experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Experience VCARVE Software preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using various machining tools. Familiarity with tooling processes and materials handling techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. Proficient in using measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment. $22.00 – $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
