CNC Machine Operator 3.7 3.7 out of 5 stars Bradenton, FL 34203 Spherion is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/ Operator to join a dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. Direct Hire Opportunity! Company offers benefits and pays hourly $20-$30hr. DOE. We have two openings (1) for 6:30am-3pm and (1) for 3pm-11:30pm. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating CNC machinery, programming, and a strong understanding of blueprint reading. This role is essential for ensuring the precision and quality of our products through effective machining and assembly processes.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, set-up and operate CNC machines to perform several machining operations such as turning, threading, milling, and drilling to produce quality parts. Ability to read schematics, blueprints, part drawings, tool layout and inspection sheets. Able to complete setups, make tool wear offsets, change tools and load material bars. Must have problem-solving ability to solve quality issues and machines problems. Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications. Set machines to complete full cycles and fabricate large number of parts. Monitor tool wear, change tools and inserts as required, make necessary adjustments as needed, to keep producing quality parts. Ensure parts produced meet specifications by using appropriate measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers and thread gages for quality assurance. Must have good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills. Keeps work area clean and organized following 5S guidelines for safety and efficiency Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices is preferred. Qualifications of a CNC Machinist/Operator Minimum of 1 year of experience working as Machinist/Operator. Experience working with Swiss type CNC’s such as Star machines or similar, is highly preferred. Able to understand specifications, read blueprints and engineering drawings.
Knowledge of precision measuring tools:
calipers, micrometers and thread gages. Safety oriented and motivated to keep a safe and organized work area.
