Time management CNC machine operator experience Full Job Description Job Summary The Set-up operator will follow our QMS procedures in the production environment. The responsibilities for this role will include supporting the production floor and CNC Department by performing set-ups of CNCs, Operation, First Article, In-process and Final inspections, signing inspection documentation and making sure production support documentation was filled out completely by all responsible parties. In addition, improve productivity, support in solving technical or documentation problems as they arise, and supporting the corrective and preventative actions. This role will also support our ISO9001:2015 and AS9100 documentation and procedures support. Responsibilities Set-up CNC parts on machines by following job instruction packs and work holding info. Develop Best practice set-ups for Mills. (Lathes/Multi Axis Mills and Multi Axis Lathes/VTLs a plus) Collaborate with cross-functional teams comprised of machinists/operators, manufacturing engineers, production supervisors, quality engineers/inspectors, and operations/program management to support program schedule & performance goals, mitigate manufacturing risks, and improve operational efficiency. Design custom tools and fixtures as needed Develop set-up sheets to show alignment of geometry from CNC program to physical workpiece. Identify, select, and procure appropriate tooling and material for job specific applications (based on part material, geometry, features, tolerances, system rigidity, and equipment capability). Own process improvement opportunities (reduced machining/setup time, improved part quality) Safely working within an industrial environment Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions and examining functionality. 2015&AS9100 procedures. Experience Proven experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Proficiency in blueprint reading and CAD software for effective interpretation of designs. Familiarity with stamping presses, lathe operations, and press brake machines is advantageous. Strong understanding of CNC programming techniques and fabrication processes. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work consistently. Accountability On Time/On budget execution of projects according to Project Charter/Plans/Budget Set-up Time +90% On-Time based on Engineering Lead Time estimate. Support program schedule & performance goals 90%+ operational efficiency Maintain records 100% accurate and available based on Audits. Skills and Experience Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in CNC Machine Set-up. Experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of practical engineering science and technology applications. Excellent knowledge of metal fabrication manufacturing methods. Excellent knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing methods. Excellent knowledge of manufacturing methods of polymeric materials. Knowledge of plastics, stampings, plating’s, materials and CNC manufacturing methods. Proficiency in reading specifications and drawings. Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing technology highly preferred. Skilled in using logic, reasoning and sound analysis to evaluate alternative solutions, conclusions and/or approaches to problems and implement best course of action techniques. Excellent math skills including geometry, calculus, statistical analysis and their applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (emails, RFPs, reports) and the ability to effectively interact with all levels throughout the organization. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with use of Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Ability to consistently maintain a good attendance record in order to timely move projects toward completion and to fully participate in planning and other company meetings. Familiarity with Bills of Materials (BOMs) and manufacturing routing. Understanding of AS9100, ISO9001, Mil-Std-790 and

ANSI/ASME

standards is a plus.
