CNC MACHINEOPERATOR
Location:
Winter Park Monday To Thursday 6AM-4:30PMRESPONSIBILITIES Load Work Order files to CNC Router, Plasmamachines, Omal and Edge Bander as required. Stay current in TPM andbasic mechanical adjustments on all equipment as needed. Ability toenter OEE information into OEE Control Document spreadsheet inserver. Understand and carry out verbal and written directions inEnglish Close attention to detail Function with a minimal amount ofsupervision or no supervision. Set work priorities to meetproduction goals as scheduled. Assist in training all CNC operatorson their respective equipment and skill levels. Interface withengineering to program machine run and set ups. Establish andmaintain cooperative working relationships. Meet minimum safety and5S standards. Meet all QA and QC standards for each task. Becompliant with all the rules of conduct and attendance per thecompany handbook. Ensure that hazardous waste is handledappropriately and placed into the proper container(s). Maintainsall satellite and storage containers in a closed position unlessadding or removing waste. Familiar with Hazardous Waste ContingencyPlan. Knows spill response procedures and evacuation routes. Otherduties and responsibilities as required. Ability to read, write,comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, shortcorrespondence and memos in English. Ability to read and understandengineering drawings and layout and other written or verbalinstructions presented in English. Ability to read and use linearand other measuring devices. Ability to perform all operationswithin acceptable quality and time standards. Ability toeffectively present information in one-on-one and small groupsituations to other employees of the organization. Fundamental useof various pneumatic and power tools. Ability to laminate cabinets& panels as needed. Familiar with the safe operation of varioustools: including but not limited to drills, screw gun, table saw,band saw and routers. Ability to use basic mathematics. Must havegeneral knowledge of OSHA and EPA standards. Be trained inHazardous Materials Handling Operations with an annual refreshercourse. Hazardous waste training shall be provided to employeewithin six months of the date the employee filled this position anda review of this training provided every 12 months thereafter.
Employee shall be supervised until training is complete. Thistraining will consist of at least 30 minutes of classroominstruction and additional on the job training as needed. Trainingwill include familiarization with roles as outlined in HazardousWaste Contingency Plan. While performing the duties of this job,the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle,or feel objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee isoccasionally required to stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel,crouch, or crawl.
Other physical requirements include:
Ability toregularly lift and/or move up to 40’s without assistance. Abilityto work from various squatting, kneeling or bending positions.
Ability to work with arms above head. Ability to work from stepstool. Ability to stand at a workstation for ten hours a day (minusspecified breaks.) Ability to perform all operations withinacceptable quality and time standards. Ability to safely usespecified hand, air, power tools, and machinery. Ability to operateand understand the operation of all protective safety equipment inthe area. Specific vision abilities required by this job includeclose vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Required tohandle and dispose of hazardous waste. Ability to work in105-degree heat for excess of ten (10) hours per day. Ability towork in noisy and dusty conditions.
