CNC Setup Technician
ALIGN PRECISION – CLEARWATER, LLC 9000
68th Street North, Pinellas Park, FL 33782 M-Thurs 5a-3:30p
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Setting up and operating CNC machines. Reading & interpreting technical blueprints and design models. Loading raw materials into the CNC machines. Setting machine parameters according to product requirements. Performing regular machine maintenance. Inspecting & measuring finished products to ensure they meet specifications. Assist with quality control plan details. Replace worn tooling as needed. Suggest machining methods to improve efficiency. Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
3+ years of CNC machining or setup experience (mill, lathe, or both) Ability to change, preset, & verify cutting tools using a presetter or manual method Strong understanding of G-code and CNC control systems (e.g., Fanuc, Haas) Proficient in reading blueprints & interpreting GD&T Skilled in using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators) Experience setting work & tool offsets Basic troubleshooting of tooling, fixture, & machine-related setup issues Ability to perform dry runs & first article inspections to validate setups Comfortable working independently & under time pressure in a production environment Ability to work overtime Align Precision is an Equal Opportunity Employee and wholeheartedly supports diversity in the workplace as a basic premise for business success.
