CNC Mill Operator Pursuit Boats 3901 St Lucie Boulevard, Fort Pierce, FL 34946 Job Summary Ensure machining operations are completed in accordance with established standards and with the departmental schedule.
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare machines and tooling for operation Set up and locate platforms in machining cells using all required jacks, blocks, hand tools etc. Understand basic G-code offsets such as work offset and tool offsets. Run and monitor part cutting operations Operate a forklift to move large parts in and out of the mill’s envelope. Machine cell housekeeping Conduct tramming procedures for both machines as needed Conduct machinery daily checks and assist with maintenance functions Ensure all CNC operations are performed safely Follow TDC approved processes (SOP)
Key Objective:
Properly Setup large parts in a 5-axis bridge mill. Properly measure tools and change milling operation offsets. Properly set up smaller parts in a smaller 5-axis bridge mill. Properly set up sheets of composites on a smaller Eastman cutting machine. Create new tooling combinations. Ability to comprehend setup documentation and tooling lists.

This means doing the work him/herself whenever necessary. Promote department cleanliness. Keep all shop areas clean, parts put away in an orderly fashion Promote tool organization and workstation organization Qualifications General knowledge and understanding of required power tools Must be able to understand and execute top quality Must be able to pass the strength/stress test and drug/alcohol screening contingent to the hiring process Job requires standing and working in and around boats/molds throughout the entire day Must work efficiently and in the safest manner possible, following all safety regulations at all time Education and/or
Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience, or Vocational school in machining.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Constant Work Environment Employee is exposed to ambient could temperatures for short periods in the winter months and is exposed to ambient heat temperatures in summer months. Very dusty environment. Airborne particulates from cutting, drilling, grinding. Exposure to extremely sharp tooling used for cutting fiberglass. Typical 10 hour work day Typical 4- or 5-day work week schedule based upon schedule. Overtime is occasional to frequent based on a number of factors. Required to work indoors and outdoors, year round and in all weather conditions. May be required to work during production shutdowns or other “off-schedule” periods to conduct special activities.
