Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision parts. While prior experience operating a CNC machine is preferred, we are open to candidates who are eager to learn and grow within our organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC machines to produce parts according to engineering specifications and blueprints.
Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as necessary to ensure high-quality production.
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerance requirements.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on machines to ensure optimal functionality.
Collaborate with the production team to meet production schedules and improve operational efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve any machine issues that arise during operation.
Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
Record production data, including material usage and machine downtime

Requirements:

Previous forklift experience is required
Previous experience operating CNC machines is preferred, but not required.
Knowledge of CNC machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
Familiarity with measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to ensure product accuracy.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent production standards.
Good communication skills and ability to work well with a team.
Basic understanding of computer software used in CNC machinery.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

Additional Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment is a plus.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical manufacturing environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds and is regularly exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and extreme hot and cold temperatures.

Travel:

This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
