Are you ready to help build the magic behind the scenes? Thirteenth Floor Entertainment is expanding our production facility in Elmwood, Louisiana, and we’re seeking a detail-oriented, reliable, and hands-on CNC Operator to join our innovative team. As a CNC Operator, you’ll work closely with our programmer and production crew to help bring imaginative environments to life for our portfolio of Haunted Attractions, Halloween Festivals, Immersive Experiences, Activations, Escape Rooms, and more. Full-Time and Part-Time Positions Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated CNC Operator who can work closely with our programmer to ensure efficient and accurate production of scenic elements and set pieces. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable with computers and power tools, can handle heavy materials, and takes pride in keeping their workspace organized and safe. As a CNC Operator, you’ll load and unload materials, prepare and sand cut pieces, and help organize them for our carpenters and build teams. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the flow of production and ensuring our creative visions become reality.
Key Responsibilities CNC Operation:
Work with the programmer to load, run, and unload materials on CNC machines, following instructions for file management and machine operation.
Mild Carpentry:
Assist with basic carpentry tasks and use general power tools as needed.
Computer Tasks:
Open, close, and manipulate files on the computer as directed by the programmer.
Heavy Lifting:
Safely lift and move plywood and other materials weighing over 50 pounds.
Clean and Organize:
Prep and sand individual pieces, then organize and package them by job for the carpentry team.
Shop Upkeep:
Maintain cleanliness in your work area, including emptying trash cans and sweeping floors. Qualifications Basic computer skills, including file management and navigation. General knowledge of power tools and mild carpentry. Ability to lift and move heavy materials (over 50 lbs). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Willingness to learn and take direction from the programmer and shop leads. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a collaborative spirit. Must be at least 18 years old. Physical stamina for long shifts in a busy, creative environment. Flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed.
