Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Part-Time CNC Operator to join our fabrication team. This role involves operating and maintaining our Thermwood CNC router and plasma cutting machine . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in CNC setup and operation, a sharp eye for detail, and a strong commitment to quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate Thermwood CNC routers and plasma cutters to fabricate aluminum, plywood, and plastic components Set up machines, tools, fixtures, and materials for each job Read and interpret CAD files, technical drawings, and blueprints Program and adjust CNC machines for accurate production Monitor operations and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting Keep a clean and organized work area Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred Minimum 1 year of experience with aluminum CNC routing Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Comfortable working with tight tolerances and inspecting work with calipers, gauges, and tape measures. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Self-motivated and able to work independently

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Schedule:

Part-time, weekday hours Flexible shifts between 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM 8-25 hours/week depending on workload

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate based on experience Opportunities for more hours as production demand increases
