Swiss Machine Operator Hours :

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM (½ hour lunch)

Schedule :

45-hour week, Overtime paid after 40 hours

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe / Swiss Machine Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience setting up and operating Mori Seiki and Okuma Howa CNC Lathes, as well as Star CNC Swiss machines. This position involves interpreting technical documents, performing machine setups, making program adjustments using Fanuc controls, and ensuring all parts meet quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate Mori Seiki and Okuma Howa CNC Lathes or Star CNC Swiss machines Upload and download machine programs from the file server Adjust existing programs as needed using Fanuc controls Read and interpret engineering prints and traveler documentation to produce parts Gather required tooling and fixtures for each job Install chucks and fixtures to prepare machine setup Run first-piece parts and coordinate with Quality Control for approval Perform basic inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools Accurately document part run data and maintain production records

Requirements:

3-5 years of hands-on machining experience Previous experience in CNC lathe setup and operation required Familiarity with Fanuc controls Basic understanding of CNC programming (a plus) Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and work instructions Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members #
