CNC Brake Machine Operator 2.8 2.8 out of 5 stars 3310 Port And Harbor Dr, Bay Saint Louis, MS 39520 Position Summary As a CNC Brake Press Operator, you’ll be responsible for bending and forming sheet metal parts using CNC brake machines. You’ll work closely with your team to ensure parts are fabricated accurately and meet quality standards—supporting our mission to deliver reliable electrical power solutions for the oil & gas, marine, and energy industries. Essential Accountabilities Operate CNC brake press machines to bend and form sheet metal parts. Review part lists and CNC programs for each job. Load materials onto the brake press and secure them safely. Work with senior operators to adjust machine settings as needed. Measure finished parts using calipers and protractors to ensure accuracy. Stage completed parts for the next step in fabrication. Perform basic machine maintenance, including tool sharpening and replacement. Keep your work area clean, safe, and organized. Learn and train with 1st class operators to build your skills. Qualifications Education & Certifications High school diploma or GED, Required Forklift certification preferred Experience 2-5 years in CNC machine operation or sheet metal fabrication, Required Skills & Knowledge Mechanical skills: Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot brake press equipment Blueprint reading: Understand part drawings and technical instructions Math & measuring: Comfortable with basic math and using tools like calipers and protractors Safety awareness: Committed to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Teamwork:
Able to collaborate and take direction from senior operators Computer skills: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and familiarity with CNC programming systems Tools you may use: Trumpf, Accupress, Allen wrenches, grinders, calipers, punch press, forklift, crane, and shears.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions Physical Requirement:
Demanding. Must have ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Employee must be at to sit, climb or balance, hear, use hands, taste/smell, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, stand, walk, talk, and reach with hands and arms.
Working Conditions:
Conditions vary per work site: can be high heat, high humidity, exposure to electrical shock and mechanical parts, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals with fumes and/or airborne particles.
