Job Description Job Description The overall objective of the CNCOperator Trainee is to function as an effective and valuable memberof the Point Eight Power Fabrication team by helping & learning allactivates concerned with producing parts by operating a CNCmachine. Essential Accountabilities • Support the effort of being abest-in-class manufacturer by: ? Assisting the CNC machine operatorin creating all the parts that are required by the parts list, asdictated by the program list. ? Assisting in the repair maintenanceof the machines, as required. ? Organizing completed parts for thenext phase of manufacturing. ? Completing works in process ticketsto assure accurate inventory counts. ? Performing necessary sideoperations during machine cycle time, such as pulling metal fornext program, maintaining and sharpening tools, and replacing toolsas necessary. ? Maintaining a safe, clean, well-organized workarea. ? Developing competencies in order to become a 3rd class CNCmachine operator Required Skills •

Intrapersonal Skills:

Self-motivated and able to identify, examine, and resolve issuesindependently from others. Hold a strong regard for guidelines,procedures and integrity. •

Production and Processing:

Knowledge ofraw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, andother techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture anddistribution of goods. •

Design:

Knowledge of design techniques,tools, and principals involved in production of precision technicalplans, blueprints, drawings, and models. •

Mechanical:

Knowledge ofmachines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, andmaintenance.

Tools include:

Allen wrenches, grinders, break press,punch press, forklift, crane, shears and calipers •

TechnicalExperience:

excellent mechanical skills and aptitude in supportingCNC sheet metal equipment, ability to visualize 3D parts from cutsheets. Good math skills and qualified in basic computer skills. •

Computers and Electronics:

Knowledge of computer hardware andsoftware, including applications and programming •

ManualDexterity:

The ability to quickly move your hand, your handtogether with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, orassemble objects. •

Verbal & Written Communication Skills:

Thisposition requires basic skills (ability to read and interpretdocuments such as safety rules, operating and maintenanceinstructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routinereports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively beforegroups of customers or employees of organization.) •

Math Skills:

This position requires intermediate skills (calculatefigures/discounts, proportions, area, etc. Required Experience Lessthan 1 year of sheet metal fabrication experience, required. • Lessthan 1 year of CNC operator experience, preferred.
