Machine Operator Position Overview:

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating both manual and CNC machinery in a production environment. This role involves performing a variety of tasks to support production goals while ensuring product quality, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate manual and CNC machinery according to company guidelines and procedures. Complete all job assignments in compliance with the Employee Training Handbook. Read and interpret customer specifications for quality and packaging. Accurately maintain production records and documentation. Monitor product quality and promptly notify a supervisor or designated personnel of any discrepancies. Keep the production area clean, organized, and safe at all times. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety programs. Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production goals. Communicate effectively with coworkers across all shifts. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in priorities and schedules. Capable of following written and verbal instructions accurately. Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills. Proficient in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, dial calipers, and dial indicators.

Physical Requirements:

Must frequently lift and carry up to 55 lbs. as needed. Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina to maintain production demands. Ability to stand, bend, carry, stoop, and move throughout the machine shop for extended periods during scheduled shifts. Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
