CNC Full Job Description Job Title:
CNC Machine Operator (All 3 shifts available) Level I – 1-3 years of experience required. Level II- 4+ years required.
Overview:
The CNC Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC equipment to produce precision parts based on production schedules. This role involves working with various machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and manual tools, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC machines according to work instructions and specifications Use measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers to verify part dimensions Interpret and follow written procedures, work routers, and blueprints Maintain quality by identifying and addressing dimensional or visual defects Safely handle raw materials and manage waste in accordance with safety protocols Dismantle and assemble tools, jigs, and fixtures as needed Assist with or perform basic tooling setup and changes Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machines and equipment Support continuous improvement and maintain a clean and organized workspace Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain compliance with worksite guidelines
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (experience may be considered in lieu of education) At least 1 year of experience operating CNC mills, lathes, or grinders Familiarity with multi-axis machining and live tooling is preferred Experience in low-volume, high-mix production settings is a plus Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work with minimal supervision Effective communication and organizational skills Must be detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and dependable attendance Willingness to work overtime as required Knowledge of general safety practices in a manufacturing environment #CNX100
