Machine Operator Reports To:
Machine Shop Supervisor/Lead FLSA Status:
Hourly, Non-Exempt Hours:
Friday, Saturday and Sunday•6am-6:30pm•work 36 hours and paid for 40 hours.
Shift Pay Premium Position Summary:
To operate various types of machine shop equipment, including but not limited to CNC mills and lathes, saws, sanders, drill press.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Keep equipment fed with raw stock. Make adjustments to machine Load and replace tools Deburr cut pieces. General maintenance on machine and work area. Continuous 5S practice within department. Conforms to all plant policies and procedures. Obeys and enforces all safety rules. Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
Industrial background preferred. Basic machining experience preferred High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to do basic math required. Excellent attendance history required. Blueprint reading required
Conditions and Equipment:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently. Work in a fast pace environment. Environment is inside an insulated building, heated in winter and can be above 90 degrees during the summer.
