Customer Service Representative/CNC Operator 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 15 Quality Circle, Vonore, TN 37885 SeaDek, a Division of Patrick Industries is seeking a hybrid role for a Customer Service Representative/CNC Operator to support our satellite location in Vonore, Tennessee. The Customer Service Representative/CNC Operator will handle inbound and outgoing phone calls, email requests and face-to-face interactions. They will focus on inventory management and CNC machine operations. SeaDek is a revolutionary product utilized not only by the top boat builders in the marine industry, but also in aftermarket by boat owners seeking custom products. Made from closed cell PE/EVA foam, SeaDek products offer safe and comfortable alternatives to marine traction products currently on the market. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Essential duties and responsibilities are listed below. Other duties may be assigned. Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, or portal regarding orders, products, lead times, and delivery schedules Process sales orders, returns, and credits accurately in the system (e.g., ERP or MRP software) Track order status and proactively communicate updates to customers Coordinate with production, shipping, and logistics teams to ensure on-time delivery Resolve complaints related to delays, damaged goods, or discrepancies in orders Maintain customer account information and records in the database Collaborate with the sales team to support quoting, product availability, and custom requests Monitor backorders and expedite as needed Understand technical product details to provide accurate information and support Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction Inventory management Set up and operate CNC machines (e.g., mills, lathes, routers, or grinders) to perform machining operations Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality control to resolve production issues Keep work area clean and organized according to lean manufacturing principles Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Qualification Requirements Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office Suite Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to interpret and relay technical product information Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-driven environment Minimum 2 years of CNC machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment CAD experience helpful Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instrument Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work flexible shifts if required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred Work Environment Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Standing for extended periods. Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
