Job Purpose:

As a CNC Associate at Escapology, you will be a key player in crafting unique and captivating escape room props based on Escapology-approved designs. You’ll utilize your expertise in CNC machine operations, including drafting and tool pathing , to precisely transform digital designs into physical components. Your precision and attention to detail will be critical in producing high-quality, durable parts that form the core of our immersive puzzles and experiences.

Responsibilities:
CNC Operation:

Operate and run files on CNC routers to precisely cut prop kits from various materials, including plywood, MDF, MDO, and acrylic, for carpenters and other departments.

Machine Maintenance:

Perform daily/weekly cleanings and execute preventative and regularly scheduled maintenance on CNC machines and their accompanying systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity.

Material & Prop Organization:

Maintain organized storage of raw materials, cut props, and fabricated elements within the CNC department.

Digital File Management & Tool Pathing:

Assist in digital file updates to game build documents, including creating and modifying CNC files, developing efficient tool pathing strategies, and other drafting-related tasks.

Inventory & Purchasing Support:

Assist Team Leads with conducting inventory and facilitating the purchasing of all materials, supplies, and tools needed to effectively and efficiently run CNC operations.

Time Management & Quality Control:

Effectively manage your time and responsibilities to ensure production deadlines are met and the quality of fabricated products meets or exceeds our established standards.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate effectively with team members to complete project requirements and provide valuable recommendations when problem-solving complex fabrication challenges.

Proactive Contribution:

Be proactive in your daily responsibilities and remain flexible for ad hoc projects that are time-sensitive, understanding that labor sharing between departments is, at times, necessary to ensure a smooth operational flow.

Workplace Standards:

Clean and maintain your work area, striving to set the standard in cleanliness and organization within the shop.

Safety Adherence:

Adhere to all Federal, State, and company safety protocols, and consistently use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) whenever required.

Preferred Experience:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual with a passion for precision CNC fabrication and a strong mechanical aptitude. Any combination of experience and training within CNC operations will be considered, and we encourage you to apply! 1+ years of proven experience operating and running a CNC / routing machine. Demonstrated experience with CNC drafting and tool pathing software. Previous experience in CNC operations, preferably within the escape room, entertainment, or restoration industries. Demonstrated experience maintaining and servicing CNC systems and related equipment. Familiarity with Autodesk Fusion or any other CNC operating software. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to meeting rigorous quality control standards for precision-cut and fabricated parts. Excellent time management and organizational skills to efficiently balance workshop and administrative tasks. Physical strength to lift objects weighing between 35-50 lbs, as needed. Ability to stand for long periods of time while performing job-related duties.
