Multi-Axis CNC Programmer/Operator (4 & 5 Axis) 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars 9755 Delegates Drive, Orlando, FL 32837 Position Overview We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Axis CNC Programmer/Operator with a strong background in 4 and 5-axis programming and machining . The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in both programming and operating complex CNC machines, with a preference for experience on HAAS and Okuma platforms. This is a key position in our manufacturing team, ideal for someone who takes pride in precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Program and operate 4- and 5-axis CNC machines to produce high-tolerance parts Utilize CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar) to create efficient toolpaths Set up jobs including tooling, workholding, offsets, and program loading Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications Perform first article and in-process inspections using standard measurement tools Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments as needed Optimize machining processes for efficiency, quality, and repeatability Maintain accurate documentation of setups, tooling, and process changes Collaborate with engineering and quality control teams Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of professional experience programming and operating multi-axis CNC machines Proven experience with 4-axis and 5-axis CNC programming and setups Strong knowledge of HAAS and Okuma controls and machines Proficient in CAM programming software (Mastercam preferred) Deep understanding of machining principles, speeds/feeds, and tooling Ability to work independently with minimal supervision High attention to detail and commitment to producing top-quality work Preferred Qualifications Experience in aerospace, medical device, or other high-precision industries Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement initiatives Understanding of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems CNC lathe or Swiss turning experience is a plus What We Offer Competitive pay and overtime opportunities Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO) Clean, organized, and climate-controlled shop environment Stable, long-term employment with room for advancement A team that values skill, experience, and craftsmanship
