HOUR DOE POSITION SUMMARY

Supports customer requirements and material efficiency by utilizingCNC programming to tool and nest sheet metal parts on turrets,lasers and punch equipment.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

• Interpret engineering blueprints to draw (program) flat patternlayouts of parts
• Make proper machine and tooling selections to manufacture partsin the most efficient manner.
• Request procurement of tools necessary
• Prepare detailed standardized work instructions and set-upsheets
• Utilize software to continuously improve run time andprogramming time
• Contributes to product planning in areas of expertise.
• Supports Sales, Manufacturing and Customers as needed
• Communicate with and support management in a timely manner
• Ensures Matthews quality policies and procedures arefollowed

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of AutoCad, SolidWorks, or other similarsoftware
• 2+ years experience in similar field
• Strong math skills
• Detailed oriented with ability to multi-task
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and inwriting Prior experience with Amada turrets and tooling knowledge is aplus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Requires ability to frequently talk and hear
• Requires ability to sit frequently up to 7.0 hours per day
• Stand and walk occasionally up to 1.5 hours per day
• Stoop, bend and reach occasionally up to1.5 hours per day
• Lift/carry items ranging from 0 lb
• 25 lbs occasionally up to1.5 hours per day
• Requires long periods of viewing a computer screen
• Requires close vision, distance vision and depth perception Must pass

7:00 am

• 3:30 pm Monday
• Friday Steel Toe Boots Required in Facility
