CNC Machinist/Programmer Position Available In Gaston, North Carolina

Job Title:

CNC Machinist/Programmer Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist/Programmer to join our team. This role involves setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production equipment to produce high-quality products according to production specifications and schedules. Responsibilities Correctly read job specifications from build sheet, work order, blueprint, and specifications to determine the exact material required and machine materials to produce subassemblies or finished products. Set up and operate multi-axis machining centers. Identify and assess tools for applicable job requests. Understand G Code programming. Manufacture parts to meet production and quality requirements. Ensure that all equipment and tools are maintained in working order. Track production via daily management and ERP system. Notify the supervisor of any mechanical or material issues. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Maintain high-quality standards. Participate in team events and continuous improvement/lean initiatives. Maintain work cell through 5S and housekeeping. Operate a forklift as needed. Participate in special projects as required. Essential Skills Previous experience working on a 4-axis mill. 2-3 years of CNC Machinist experience. Ability to program, set up, and operate CNC Mills, Turning Tables, etc. Experience with G Code programming and making edits. Knowledge of materials including iron, cast iron, aluminum, 1018 steel, 316 and 304 stainless steel. Additional Skills & Qualifications Programming skills are a plus. Experience with Manual Lathe. Experience in Continuous Improvement environments. Forklift experience (sit-down) is a plus. Preferably some schooling, training, or certifications in machining or programming. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gastonia, North Carolina Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 – $30.00/hr.
