SolidWorks Drafting Autodesk CNC Full Job Description SUMMARY:
A company in North Charleston that fabricates and manufactures ultra high pressure waterjet machines that strip the paint from large ships and steel structures is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer who has experience programming Okuma machines.
Experience Required:
Proficiency in AutoDesk SolidWorks, Solid works, GIbbs Cam, Solid Cam, Fusion Expertise with CNC Lathe (multi-spindle and multi-turret), CNC Mill setup and programming, and G-Code Programming Hands-on experience with Haas, Fanuc, and Okuma Controls Strong skills in blueprint reading, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and drafting/modifying prints for production Knowledge of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials for manufacturing
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, program, and operate CNC machines to manufacture Ultra High Pressure (UHP) Water Jet parts and assemblies Train and oversee machine shop employees Manage inventory and materials for production Ensure high-quality standards using tolerance tooling Draft and implement new designs while documenting changes Communicate effectively to manage jobs, production schedules, purchase orders, and resolve shop issues
