Job Summary:
The CNC Programmer is responsible for safely and efficiently maintaining, repairing, testing and programming a variety of CNC machines for several different products and materials. They assist with obtaining quotes and pricing for CNC related purchases as needed. They create/interpret drawings for new and existing products and assist with proper mold fit and fixtures. . Responsible for maintaining and utilizing CNC machines for plastic products or materials.
Responsibilities:
Ensures that all CNC components and tooling are in safe working order and well maintained. Safely and efficiently setups, operates CNC machines and tooling for a variety of materials, products and jobs for steel and plastic. Works collaboratively with management, maintenance, machine operators and quality control to solve any machining issues. Develops and maintains machining templates and standard procedures. Interprets drawings and blueprints. Creates blueprints and drawings utilizing CAD and other technical drawing software as needed according to necessary specifications. Designs and builds prototype components. Assists with new product implementation by taking ideas and concepts and turning into a CAD drawing for review and approval. Utilizes approved drawing to create future templates and machining needs for appropriate products. Researches and quotes pricing for potential CNC related purchases. Submits requests for purchase orders to management on all necessary tooling and CNC machining components as needed. After purchase order has been completed, assists with the order and installation/implementation of new components. Safely and efficiently operates a variety of mills, lathes, grinding machines and fabricating machines. Builds and repairs molding fixtures and components as needed. Works collaboratively to ensure that mold has been properly prepared and aligned within the mold cavity. Receives information from Maintenance, Operators, Management and Quality Control about: safety requirements, machining needs, machining issues and design requirements.
Informs the Management about:
equipment problems, safety concerns, quotes/purchase order requests, machining needs, machining issues and timelines for projects. Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to troubleshoot and multitask Electrical mathematic and unit conversion skills High attention to detail and is willing to learn Team player who is reliable and trustworthy Maintains a clean and safe work area. Verbal and written communication skills in English. Organizational skills and attention to detail. Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
High School diploma / GED, required Completed Certificate, diploma, or degree program in CNC Programming 2-5 years’ experience in CNC Machines Ability to read Blueprints, preferred Ability to troubleshoot technical problems Previous experience in a plastics/textile manufacturer, preferred
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, driving automatic forklift, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping. Must be able to work in a non-controlled environment
