Job Description

CNC Programmer Aperture Group LLC La Vergne, TN 37086

CNC Machinist I Qualifications:

Basic knowledge of G-code programming. Foundational understanding of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) functionality. Background in Fanuc Controls. Basic proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor, and Vault (ability to open, interpret, and print technical drawings and models). Ability to calculate using decimals and fractions for part development. Actively pursuing machining certifications or technical trade school training. Familiarity with ERP systems and willingness to learn how to navigate them for schedule monitoring and discrepancy reporting. Strong computer skills and the ability to operate Mastercam 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with troubleshooting issues across departments (product design, scheduling, and equipment capability). Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth production. Operate CNC machines safely and efficiently under supervision. Interpret and follow work instructions and part drawings accurately.

CNC Machinist II Qualifications:

All requirements of CNC Machinist I. No more than 3 attendance points on record. Advanced understanding of HMI functionality. Machining certifications required.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize complex production plans using current programming software. Create, update, and maintain CNC programs, part profiles, and product libraries. Monitor raw material inventory and coordinate with Procurement to meet production needs. Ensure smooth material flow, efficiency, and optimal use of materials throughout production.

Development Expectations:

Work with software and equipment support teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. Demonstrate initiative in identifying opportunities for workflow and programming improvements.

CNC Machinist III Qualifications:

All requirements of CNC Machinist II. 2-4 years of hands-on CNC machining experience. No more than 3 attendance points on record.

Key Responsibilities:

Train and mentor entry-level CNC Machinists (Class I and II). Evaluate blueprints, designs, schedules, and programs for accuracy and efficiency. Operate and troubleshoot all major CNC equipment to identify root causes of issues. Manage workflow across all departments for maximum manufacturing efficiency.

Leadership & Development Expectations:

Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives. Identify and communicate opportunities for process improvements. Exhibit leadership and a consistently positive attitude as defined by team standards. Guide product/material flow across departments with a deep understanding of: Manufacturing sequence and its rationale. Impact of programming decisions on downstream processes. Demonstrate working knowledge (or experience) in related departments, including:
