Job Overview:

We are seeking a Hanger Technician to join our Paint Department in an automotive manufacturing environment. The Hanger Technician will be responsible for transporting hanger buggies and loading racks on the paint line conveyor to ensure optimal paint application and consistent quality. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Transport hanger buggies weighing 250-400 pounds when loaded. Identify the hangers with each style of part and load the hanger on the conveyor per production and paint line specifications. Ensure parts are properly spaced and oriented to allow for even coating and minimal paint defects. Monitor rack setups and adjust positioning as needed to optimize paint coverage and minimize waste. Remove hangers from racks from the conveyor and prepare them for inspection, assembly, or packaging. Follow all safety guidelines, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and company policies related to the paint department. Communicate effectively with paint technicians, quality inspectors, and production team members to maintain smooth workflow.

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience in manufacturing, automotive painting, or parts handling preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate part positioning and hanging. Basic understanding of paint processes is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, repetitive, and physically demanding environment. Basic knowledge of safety protocols and quality standards in a manufacturing setting. Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

Work Environment:

Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and various materials. Requires standing, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Full-time, with potential for overtime based on production needs. Shifts may include days, evenings, or weekends.
