Job Description
The Blaster candidate will be responsible for painting production parts to specifications and quality standards. Job duties include, accepting only parts that are properly prepared for paint, manually moving parts through the painting, flashing and drying sections of the paint system. Responsible for mixing paints and solvents according to specifications, correct operation of automated mixing equipment, application of liquid paint using electrostatic and traditional paint guns, assuring parts reside in the flashing and drying sections of the paint system for specified time, inspection of work and correction as needed and periodic cleaning/flushing of paint/solvent delivery systems as required. Responsible for maintenance of all paint system equipment as specified, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the paint system and work area. Use equipment to blast metal parts for preparation of paint using steel shot.
