Paint Shop Technician – PAINT005859-00001 Position Available In Jefferson, Alabama

• Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates and uses all body shop equipment properly and safely
• Removes rust from metal, and grease and dirt from work surface
• Masks or covers parts that are not to be painted or coated
• Load/Unload trucks
• Blast Parts, sand parts and hang parts
• Wash Truck/Parts
• Fills cavities and/or dents to attain smooth surface
• Mixes paint according to specifications
• Mixes coating to produce desired color
• Inspects painted units for quality
• Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in a proper state of repair
• Keeps work area clean
• Obtain necessary materials needed for shipping or stocking
• Read and follow internal and external order sheets
• Empty chip and scrap buckets into correct receptacle
• Use appropriate software system to verify status of inventory
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Follow and comply with all safety and personal protective equipment requirements.

• Requirements:

• Able to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Ability to write correspondence
• Be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
• Must be able to pass Fork Lift Certification process
• Possess basic computer operating and data entry skills.
