In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for painting by ensuring surfaces are properly cleaned, sanded, and primed. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of auto painting processes and be skilled in using various tools and equipment. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as necessary Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Assist in the auto painting process using airless paint spraying techniques Buff surfaces to achieve a smooth finish before painting Collaborate with mechanics to ensure vehicles are ready for paint application Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with team members and clients Qualifications Experience in auto painting or related fields is preferred Familiarity with auto estimating processes is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting as required (up to 50 pounds) Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and buffing equipment Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality workmanship Excellent communication skills and customer service orientation Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changing environments If you are passionate about automotive work and have the skills necessary to excel as a Paint Prepper, we encourage you to apply.
