Liquid Kynar Coater / Painter / Sprayer Trojan Architectural Coaters 601 NW 12th Avenue, Pompano Beach, FL 33069 About us Trojan Architectural is one of the largest coating providers on the east coast. With three factories, one located in New York and two located in Florida, Trojan continues to combine a wide range of available services with powder coating, faux finishes, liquid kynar finishes and lamination.
Responsibilities:
- Inspects parts to ensure it is ready to be painted/coated. Reports to the Production Manager any potential problems with parts to be coated.
- Under the direction of the Production Manager, applies paint to parts using conventional or electrostatic spray guns in accordance with the company’s standards.
- Manipulates spray gun to properly coat parts to meet quality specifications. Maintains the spraying pattern as instructed by the Production Manager.
- While painting/coating parts, inspects for quality of finish. Informs Production Manager of any spraying or equipment problems.
- Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
- Maintains, cleans, and repairs equipment.
- Responsible for keeping spray gun clean by paying particular attention to the fluid nozzle and air cap. Dismantles, cleans, inspects, and determines production readiness of all equipment. Replaces high maintenance items as necessary. Reports any maintenance malfunctions to the Production Manager.
- Operates pressure tanks, fluid pressure regulator, air pressure regulator, and powder pumps using appropriate tools.
- Make health and safety a priority ensuring you comply with all health and safety instruction.
- Adhere to the company’s environmental policies, management of solvents and the recycling of waste products.
- Plan your work to minimize waste of raw materials as well as working in a clean environment.
- Wear and always maintain your respirator and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- To read and assess production information for required specification details; working in an organized manner to ensure the task is completed efficiently, to the correct standards and within the necessary time frame.
- Communicate with the Production Manager to ensure paint stocks are readily available as required.
- To carry out basic quality control checks.
- To ensure that all company property issued for use at work is used within guidelines and maintained accordingly.
- To assist in other areas of production when required.
- All other duties as assigned.
