Industrial Painter Job Description We are seeking an Industrial Painter to join our team on the 1st shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving parts in and out of the booth, handling all prep work needed including grinding off rust, wiping down with acetone, and masking/taping prior to painting. You will apply paint to the product using a spray gun HLVP airless system in a paint booth, ensuring the painted product is properly dried and cured before leaving the department. The paint is pre-mixed and water-based. Your attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards are crucial to maintaining the visibility and quality of our products. Responsibilities Move parts in and out of the paint booth. Perform prep work including grinding off rust and wiping down with acetone. Mask and tape products prior to painting. Apply paint using HLVP airless spray guns and occasionally pressure cup guns. Ensure painted products are properly dried and cured. Maintain the highest standard of paint work quality. Work in other departments if the paint area is slow. Essential Skills 6+ months of industrial painting experience. Experience painting in a booth. Proficiency with HLVP airless spray guns. Knowledge of water-based paint. Ability to handle and adjust spray guns. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with pressure cup guns is beneficial. Good eye for color and detail-oriented. Benefit from comprehensive employee benefits. Work Environment You will work a day shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, in an indoor, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility. While painting in the booth will be required to wear a respirator. Training will be provided for 2-3 weeks. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, Florida. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
