Marine Painter Blacktip Yacht Service Pensacola, FL 32534 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting and finishing, with the ability to work on various surfaces and materials. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to provide excellent customer service. The Painter will be responsible for preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring that all work meets our high standards. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Mix paints and other materials to achieve desired colors and textures. Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary touch-ups. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, including power tools used in the painting process. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their preferences and project updates. Assist in vehicle maintenance related to painting tasks as needed. Collaborate with team members on larger projects, ensuring that all aspects of the job are completed efficiently. Skills Strong customer service skills to interact positively with clients. Proficiency in using power tools relevant to painting tasks. Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is a plus for maintaining equipment used on-site. Sales skills may be beneficial for discussing project options with customers. Mechanical knowledge related to rigging and maintaining equipment used in painting projects. Ability to fabricate solutions as needed for unique project requirements. Familiarity with calipers and sheet metal is advantageous for specific painting applications.
