The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting and finishing by removing old paint, rust, and other contaminants using various blasting techniques. This role is crucial in ensuring high-quality finishes on products while adhering to safety standards and operational protocols. Responsibilities Operate blasting equipment to clean and prepare surfaces for painting or coating. Perform auto body repair and industrial painting tasks as required. Fabricate components and assemble parts as part of the finishing process. Handle materials safely and efficiently, ensuring proper storage and organization. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following lean manufacturing principles. Utilize basic math skills to measure materials accurately and ensure proper application. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards. Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols during blasting operations. Requirements Experience in auto body repair or auto painting is preferred. Familiarity with construction painting techniques is a plus. Knowledge of materials handling practices is essential. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification may be required. Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles is advantageous.
