Powder Coating Technician Alien Engineered Products, LLC Ocala, FL 34474 We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various substrates, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of coating processes, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed Set up and operate powder coating equipment, including spray guns and booths Select powder according to the company’s color scheme and specifications, prepare and load powder Apply powder coatings evenly and accurately to achieve the desired finish Monitor the coating process to ensure proper adhesion and coverage while adjusting sprayer valves and nozzle as needed Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance Follows safety protocols and maintains a clean and organized work area
Requirements:
Familiarity with shop tools and working in a shop environment 6 mo – 1 year of experience in wet painting, sandblasting, powder coating, or similar job shop Must have a valid driver’s license Must have ability to reliably commute Ability to work independently Proficiency in powder coat spraying techniques Mechanical knowledge and ability to operate power tools Familiarity with materials handling and storage procedures
Working Conditions:
This position is in a non-air-conditioned shop environment. Must be able to lift 70 pounds overhead multiple times throughout the day. • Requires constant standing and walking for 8+ hours per shift
