Contract-to-Hire Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Aviation Painter to join a fast-paced and quality-focused aerospace facility in Stuart, Florida . This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in professional painting, specifically with 1.5+ years in the aviation industry and at least 5 years of total painting experience . You’ll work on high-performance aircraft, supporting precision refinishing, detailing, and surface preparation. Responsibilities:

Prep and paint aircraft parts and full airframes according to industry and OEM standards Perform sanding, masking, priming, and final coatings with high attention to detail Apply polyurethane and epoxy-based coatings Inspect surfaces for imperfections, cleanliness, and adhesion Use HVLP spray guns and related tools in a controlled environment Maintain paint booth cleanliness and follow all safety and environmental guidelines Work with engineering and quality teams to ensure finish specs are met

Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of painting experience required At least 1.5 years of that experience must be in aviation (fixed-wing or rotorcraft) Strong knowledge of surface prep, primer, base, and top coat applications Ability to read and interpret technical data sheets and aircraft paint diagrams Comfortable working in climate-controlled paint booths with PPE Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening FAA knowledge or prior aerospace/OEM experience is a plus
