Must be willing and able to work any shift Position Summary We are currently seeking a skilled Aircraft Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience preparing, masking, and applying paint to aircraft surfaces and sub-assemblies in compliance with detailed technical instructions and industry standards. This position requires attention to detail, a deep understanding of coatings and finishes, and the ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and schematics. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and technical manuals Clean, prep, mask, and apply organic coatings to aircraft and sub-assemblies Mix and match paint colors accurately for spot repairs and touch-ups Perform aircraft painting and stripping in accordance with technical specifications Maintain and operate paint and strip booth equipment Inspect painted surfaces for blemishes or defects and correct as needed Use test equipment and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for assigned tasks Follow all Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention and Tool Control Program regulations Assist with parts, tools, and material ordering Maintain work records and input data into computer systems as needed Keep assigned work area clean and organized Comply with all safety standards, including respiratory and Hex Chrome requirements Job Requirements Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft painting and preparation High School Diploma or GED required Proficient in reading technical drawings and paint schematics Ability to prep and apply topcoat with minimal supervision Demonstrated ability to color blend and match finishes Experience with complex masking, including logo and exterior detailing Must be self-motivated and maintain training certifications Ability to obtain DCMA 8210 and pass Hex Chrome/respirator physical Comfortable using computer-based systems Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of military and FAA painting standards Familiarity with test equipment and documentation requirements #ind1
