Lead Painter McLaren Paints Saint Augustine, FL 32084 Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Painter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both industrial and construction painting, with the ability to lead a team effectively. This position requires proficiency in various painting techniques, as well as experience with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. The Lead Painter will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality finishes on projects while adhering to safety standards and timelines. Duties Oversee and coordinate painting projects from start to finish, ensuring quality and efficiency. Assemble and prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers as necessary. Execute construction and industrial painting tasks using appropriate techniques and materials. Operate cranes and other machinery safely to transport materials as needed. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks related to painting and finishing. Fabricate custom solutions for unique project requirements while maintaining precision. Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Train and mentor junior painters on best practices, techniques, and safety protocols. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution. Requirements Proven experience in construction painting and industrial painting is essential. Familiarity with assembling components related to painting tasks is preferred. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Ability to operate cranes safely for material handling is a plus.
