Job Purpose:
The Powder Coat Painter at Fry Reglet Corporation is responsible for applying powder coating to a variety of surfaces, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet company standards and client specifications. This role is crucial in maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of our products, contributing to the overall success and reputation of Fry Reglet Corporation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces for powder coating by cleaning, sanding, and masking as necessary to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality. Operate and maintain powder coating equipment, including spray guns and ovens, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet safety standards. Apply powder coatings to surfaces in a consistent and efficient manner, adhering to specified thickness and coverage requirements. Inspect coated surfaces for quality, identifying and correcting any defects or inconsistencies in the finish. Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Document and report any equipment malfunctions or production issues to management for timely resolution. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in the powder coating process.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in powder coating or industrial painting. Proven track record of working in a manufacturing or production environment. Experience with using and maintaining painting equipment and tools.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of powder coating processes and techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent attention to detail and quality control.
