Hospitality Furniture Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Powder Coater to join our team in producing high-end hospitality furniture. The ideal candidate will be skilled in surface preparation, powder coating techniques, and equipment operation, ensuring premium finishes on expensive, custom-crafted furniture pieces.
Key Responsibilities:
Surface Preparation & Finishing Prepare, sand, prime, patch, and seal surfaces for powder coating application. Apply undercoats and finish coats using powder coating techniques. Apply a full range of primers and finish colors with precision and consistency. Application & Equipment Operation Operate, clean, and maintain powder coating equipment including guns, sprayers, pumps, and ovens. Set up and calibrate powder coat systems for optimal results. Use powder coating ovens with correct temperature settings based on material and finish requirements. Mix materials according to specifications for proper application. Material Handling & Safety Rack and un-rack furniture components carefully to avoid damage. Load, unload, and move materials using manual pallet jacks. Safely store, label, and handle all coatings and materials per safety standards. Maintain and repair/replace personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed. Clean spray chambers, conveyors, tanks, hoses, and nozzles using approved solvents.
Requirements:
Proven experience with powder coating and related equipment. Ability to set up and operate paint booths and ovens. Proficient in using standard measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, thickness gauges). Skilled in using sanding and grinding tools for surface prep. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects. Attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols. Must pass a drug test and background check.
