Automotive Painter
JOB DESCRIPTION
Complete paint application
Complete minor repairs including sanding and grinding
Complete paint preparation including color matching and mixing
Execute standardized work as defined
Ensure all equipment is maintained, repaired, and cleaned as required
Work with customers to better understand their concerns and desires while explaining the process to them
Prepare vehicle for painting process by cleaning, filling in dents and dings, and removing any rust
Tape and cover all parts of the car not being painted paint to cars using sprayer or brushes as needed
Fully inspect finished product for any drips or missed spots
Work closely with Prep Staff and other Painters to meet work demands as a team
Coats surfaces of motor vehicles with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices
Removes old paint from vehicle, using liquid paint remover and scraper
Smooth surface with sandpaper and steel wool
