The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting, ensuring that all materials and tools are ready for the painting process. This role requires a strong understanding of various preparation techniques and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed. Operate hand tools and machinery to assist in the preparation process. Fabricate components as necessary to ensure proper fit and finish for painted items. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with equipment or processes. Assist in warehouse operations, including inventory management of paint supplies and tools. Support lean manufacturing initiatives by identifying areas for improvement in the prep process. Qualifications Previous experience in paint preparation or related fields such as industrial painting or construction painting is preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools and machining equipment is required. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a warehouse environment. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
