Job Description:

The purpose of this job is to safely clean, prime, and paint metal trailers and components of trailers to a high quality and consistent finish that meets company standards.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in automotive or heavy equipment paint processing or a Certified Trade School/Technical Degree in a Paint related Field.
• Experience with pressure pots, cup guns, and paint kitchens.
• Must be able to be medically certified to wear a respirator.
• Experience reading and understanding factory orders, blueprints, schematics, or work tickets.
• Able to read, write, and interpret documents.
• Able to read a tape measure down to at least 1/16″.
• Good math skills and able to add/subtract/multiply/divide.

Top Candidates Qualifications may include:

• 8+ years of experience in automotive or heavy equipment paint processing.
• Knowledge of paint properties and paint systems.
• Forklift & Overhead Crane experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
• Military Service.

Physical Requirements :

• Must be able to work in fast paced, medium to heavy duty assembly environments.
• Will have exposure to paint fumes, catalyst fumes and clean up chemicals.
• Work inside a paint booth.
• Frequently required for up to 10 hours: o Bend, stoop, kneel, squat, twist, turn, climb, walk, and stand on concrete. o Use hands and fingers to handle and feel objects and use tools. o Use hands and arms to reach. o Work at multiple heights. o Work in tight spaces.
• Occasionally required to: o Climb, walk or balance using a ladder.

o Climb on a trailer. o Push or pull items. o Use vibrating equipment. o Lift and move up to 50 pounds. o Touch up paint on finished trailers.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Starting hourly pay rate of $19.00 to $21.00 per hour based on experience.
• For excellent attendance and safety: o $0.50 per hour pay incentive after first 90 days. o $0.50 per hour pay incentive after 6 months of employment
• 1st Shift Position, 40 hour work week with potential for Overtime. o Monday thru Thursday 7:00am to 5:30pm. o Friday Overtime Day 7:00am to 3:30pm. (as needed) o Saturday Overtime 7:00am to 3:30pm. (as needed) o Flexible hours may be required on occasion.
• Military Service Premium at $1.00 per hour. o Must provide DD214 o Minimum of 2 years active duty military service o Honorable Discharge

• Follow all Plant Safety guidelines and PPE requirements.
• Work individually or on a production team in a safety and quality focused environment.
• Will require use of hand, air, or pneumatic tools to perform various duties.
• Will be required to use overhead cranes, hoists, forklifts, or pallet jacks..
• Will be required to wear a protective clothing and a respirator.
• Will perform trailer preparation.
• Will use our paint system to prime and paint trailers to company standards.
• Will be required to maintain a neat and clean work area.
• Perform other work related duties as assigned.

Additional Information:

• All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening before they can be hired to any Liberty Trailers position.
• All candidates must be medically certified to wear a respirator before they can be hired for this position.
