Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Paint Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you will prepare and paint components and products according to quality and specification standards. Your work will directly contribute to the performance and appearance of Vertiv’s critical infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities Surface Preparation:

Clean, sand, and mask components to prepare surfaces for paint application, ensuring proper adhesion and finish quality.

Paint Application:

Apply primers, topcoats, and finishes using spray guns or other painting equipment according to product specifications and safety guidelines.

Inspection & Touch-Up:

Visually inspect painted surfaces for runs, sags, or other defects; perform touch-up or rework as needed to meet quality standards.

Equipment Setup & Maintenance:

Mix and prepare paints, maintain paint booths, spray equipment, and workstations to ensure consistent performance and cleanliness.

Documentation & Compliance:

Record paint usage, lot numbers, and any deviations from standard procedures in compliance with internal and external regulations.

Safety & PPE:

Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), handling of chemicals, and ventilation practices.

Collaboration:

Work closely with other departments to ensure timely completion of painted components within production schedules. What You Bring Previous experience in industrial painting, powder coating, or spray application preferred. Knowledge of paint types, surface prep, and finishing techniques. Ability to read and interpret paint specifications, work orders, and safety data sheets (SDS). Familiarity with painting tools and equipment, including spray guns, HVLP systems, and pressure pots. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures at all times. Working Conditions This position may require standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in an environment with paint fumes or chemicals.
