AS A PAINTER AT CARD-MONROE
You will be responsible for preparing and painting a wide variety of parts and equipment that are crucial to our manufacturing processes. In this role, you will operate advanced spray-painting equipment to apply both prime and finish coats, ensuring that each product meets our high standards of quality and aesthetics. Your expertise will extend to the meticulous preparation of parts and equipment, setting the stage for flawless application. This hands-on position combines artistry with precision, allowing you to contribute to the innovative solutions we provide our customers while upholding our commitment to safety and integrity in the workplace.
ARE YOU THE PAINTER WE’RE LOOKING FOR?
To thrive as a Full-Time Painter at Card-Monroe Corp., candidates must possess a diverse skill set and a commitment to our mission, vision, and values. A team-first attitude is essential, as collaboration and respect drive our high-performance culture. You should be adept at mixing standard paints, acrylic enamels, and two-part acrylic urethanes to achieve the right color and consistency. Familiarity with surface preparation techniques-such as grinding, rust removal, power washing, and degreasing-is critical for optimal outcomes. Additionally, candidates must be skilled in adjusting air pressures and spray nozzles to align with paint types and finish requirements. Proficiency in brush painting and touch-ups, along with general maintenance of painting equipment and adherence to health and safety regulations, is required. Experience operating a forklift and managing inventory will further enhance your success in this role, ensuring that materials are readily available for ongoing projects. Candidates will also need to pass a pulmonary function test and be prepared to work with various chemicals associated with spray paint operations. Knowledge and skills required for the position are: Present a team first attitude combined with respect for the Company Mission Vision and values. Maintaining company productivity and quality standards. Mix standard paints acrylic enamel and two-part acrylic urethanes to proper color and consistency. Prepare surfaces and mask areas for painting. Preparation to include grinding removal of splatter and rust power washing and degreasing. Adjust air pressures and spray nozzle according to types of paint and finish requirements. Perform brush painting and touch-up where indicated. General housekeeping and maintenance of paint spray equipment booths and respirators in accordance with department health and safety regulations. Must operate a forklift to move parts and equipment. Ensure the availability of materials anticipating requirements and maintaining current inventory. Must successfully pass pulmonary function test; will be required to wear a full-face piece dual element air-purifying respirator and/or a hooded air supplied respirator. This position may expose employee to a number of chemicals inherent to spray paint operations ranging from but not limited to: Benzene-Dimethyl Benzene-Ethyl Benzene-Methyl Methanol Propnal-2 Acetone Aliphatic polyisocyanat and Methyl Isobutyl Ketone.
