The ideal candidate will have a strong background in garment construction and repair, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service. This role involves working with various fabrics and materials, utilizing sewing machines, and performing alterations to ensure high-quality finished products. Responsibilities Perform repairs and alterations on garments using sewing machines and hand sewing techniques. Conduct thorough inspections of garments to identify areas needing repair or adjustment. Launder and dry clean items as necessary to maintain quality standards. Collaborate with customers to understand their specific repair needs and provide recommendations. Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are readily available for use. Keep accurate records of repairs completed and customer interactions for quality assurance purposes. Skills Proficiency in operating sewing machines and understanding garment construction techniques. Strong knowledge of laundering processes and dry cleaning methods. Basic math skills for measuring and calculating fabric requirements. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients regarding their needs. Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a timely manner. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
